Team
Operational manager BSL1. Cindy Degerny
Operational manager BSL1 – organotypic cell culture. Abdel Ghoumari
Operational manager BSL2. Christian Specht
Activities
This platform of cell culture is organised around a BSL1 and a BSL2 laboratory.
Biosafety level 1 laboratory
This laboratory comprises three rooms, one of which is specifically dedicated to primary cell cultures. Its activities include the production of organotypic and primary cell cultures.
° Organotypic cultures.
Organotypic culture allows the study of neural development, organization, and physiology (neurons and glial cells) in an ex vivo environment, while preserving the tissue structure and cellular interactions specific to the brain.
Organotypic culture of mouse cerebellum (red: Purkinje cells, green: oligodendrocytes, blue: myelin)
° Primary cell cultures and cell lines.
Biosafety level 2 laboratory
This laboratory comprises three rooms, one of which is specifically dedicated to primary cell cultures. Its activities include the production of:
° Cell lines (e.g., HEK).
° Primary cultures
